Please tell me I’m not the only lover of a warm bowl of oatmeal?

More fond memories from when I was a kid. My grandparents would make us oatmeal every morning! Either that or Red River Cereal or Cream of Wheat! Oh, my it was our favorite. Splashed with milk and brown sugar!

Back then, we were just eating a hearty breakfast made with love..

No one thought the ingredients would matter, The oats, seeds and wheat were covered in glysophate and other toxic pesticides. That the cereals fed to us kids had secret sugars and promoted adding more sugar..

That when people would ask “why is she so hyper” “why won’t she nap” “is he ADHD?” all of these things could have been caused from the foods we were consuming.

Today, we’re starting to see more people stand up for the right to know what we’re putting in our bodies.

It is important. The choices you make while you’re younger are going to determine what kind of future you have

I still want to enjoy my oatmeal when I’m old and healthy, not because it’s the only breakfast in the old folks home

I know this all sounds preachy, It’s not meant to. This advent calendar is meant to inspire you to take action. Get in the kitchen and use real ingredients. To know the origin of your food, so you can have many more holidays with your health.

Love you- Sarah
