Ingredients
Tomato Free Marinara, Pasta or Pizza Sauce
- 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 3 Cloves Garlic (Minced)
- 1 White Onion (Chopped)
- 2 1/2 Cups (5 Organic) Carrots (Chopped)
- 1 1/4 Cup (3 Stalks Organic) Celery
- 1 1/4 Cup (2 Small) Beets (Cubed)
- 2 tsp Fresh Basil
- 2 tsp Oregano
- 1 tsp Ground Corriander
- 2 tsp Dry Parsley
- 2 tsp Sea Salt
- 1.5 Cups Water or Veg Broth
- 2-3 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
Directions
- Using olive oil sauté onion and garlic in a pan
- After 4-5 minutes add the carrots, beets, and celery. Continue to sauté for another 5 minutes
- Add water or broth and spices. Stir, cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until vegetables are nice and tender
- Take off heat. For a thick sauce (like pizza or paste) Pour off most of water
- Put into blender and blend on high until sauce is smooth
